My Goals for 2009

Goals must be S.M.A.R.T., which stand for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant & Time-bound.

Since we just celebrated Maal Hijrah 1430 which coincided with New Year 2009, i want to list down my goals for this year...

* Tracking down my expenses (establish monthly budget plan)
* Saving for emergency fund (at least 3 month by year end)
* Settle my credit card debts (debt free by year end)
* Vacation trip for my family (fourth quarter 09)
* House renovation (first quarter 09)

If all goes well.. insyaallah, my financial will become positive (black.. some people prefer to say). I know it is tough but yet achievable (don't u guys think so!). So folks.. let's the ball rolling.....

Lahirnya "The Money Map"!

Assalamualaikum,

Ahlan wa sahlan wa marhaban bikum!

Sebenarnya, dah lama saya duk pikir utk buat blog ni... hanya sekarang berkesempatan. Saya juga tegar mengikuti & membaca blog personal finance di alam maya ni. Byk yang menarik, padat dgn mesej dan mengujakan. Tetapi sayang.. tak byk yg betul2 menceritakan pengalaman sendiri menguruskan wang... the right way of managing your money, how to become debt free and ultimately achieve financial freedom. Paling penting, tak byk yg mengisahkan islamic financial planning...

This is my story.. my struggle to achieve financial freedom. This blog is a "life document" to record and keep track on my financial goal, spending habits, saving and investing.

I hope to get more organized, learn new things, become financially savvy, and (hopefully) inspire and help others along the way. Insyaallah.. Your comments are most welcome here!
